JEWELRY SALON
Russian Federation
A client approached me with a request to design an interior for a jewelry salon, focusing on the uniqueness of the products offered by the concept store. The owner of the salon is a jeweler herself and creates exquisite jewelry. She has gathered limited edition pieces in her salon, which stand out among many and reflect the client's taste preferences. Therefore, my task was to create a space that is non-traditional and unlike other jewelry salons.
The goal was to infuse the boutique interior with a modern story that is easily understandable to people, standing out from what is available in the market while complementing the products offered to clients. The chosen location was a former furniture factory, now thriving as a creative cluster with numerous cafes, small salons, and shops. It was decided that some reminders of the original space needed to be preserved. The restored floors aligned perfectly with the new interior concept. Additionally, we preserved the old brickwork in a fragment of a column standing in the center of the space and in the wall near the entrance.
The golden brass color in the ceramic granite and various elements pays homage to the materials of the products showcased in the salon, maintaining a direct association for the clients. Other materials chosen were more neutral but slightly rough to make the jewelry pieces appear even more elegant and refined.
Great attention was given to lighting, ensuring an ample amount of light in the interior. As the salon is not very large, I positioned the equipment in the center of the space to maximize exposure. The interior contains many references to the 60s and 70s, such as arched, fluid forms, which are currently quite relevant.
