This project had an interesting backstory for me. Firstly, the clients had been following my Instagram page for a while, as often happens. Secondly, the apartment already had some renovations, and the initial task was to adjust the existing interior to meet the new owners' needs. However, due to the poor quality of the existing work and the impossibility of harmonizing the existing engineering solutions with the new ones, we had to carry out a complete demolition and start from scratch. Thirdly, when we outlined the technical specifications for the design, it became clear that I had not previously worked on projects in this particular style. The wallpaper with original prints by William Morris, beloved by the apartment's owner, directed us towards a specific direction, namely the "Victorian style."

William Morris was an English artist and writer who, among other things, is known for coining the term "designer" for his profession. His works, based on natural motifs, became precursors to the Art Nouveau style, and wallpapers and fabrics based on his designs are still produced to this day. As for the "Victorian style" – the name speaks for itself. This English style emerged during the reign of Queen Victoria, after the industrial revolution and the appearance of mass-produced home goods that became accessible to everyone.

The apartment's interior comprises a large combined area for the kitchen, living room, and dining room, a hall, a master bedroom with its own bathroom and walk-in closet, a study, and several utility rooms. While the result cannot be characterized as a historical replica of this style, it is simply a work inspired by its motifs.
